PLEASANT PLAIN, Ohio — The Friends of Stonelick State Park will host a three-day Labor Day weekend celebration at the park’s campground starting Friday, with bingo, a decorated golf cart and bike parade, a hands-on lesson on the lake’s aquatic life, live music and a Sunday night movie, the volunteer group said in a Facebook post.
The celebration opens Friday at 7 p.m. with bingo, $2 a card, running through 8 p.m. On Saturday at noon, campers and visitors are invited to decorate golf carts, bikes or strollers and join a parade around the campground; the most decorated entry wins a prize, and the grand prize is a certificate for a free night of camping, according to the group.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, an educator from the Clermont County Soil and Water Conservation District will lead visitors down to the campground dock to collect and identify macroinvertebrates and fish, and to learn what those creatures reveal about water quality in Stonelick Lake, the group said. Saturday evening brings music and karaoke with a DJ from 6 to 8 p.m.
The weekend wraps up Sunday at 8:30 p.m. with a movie, a raffle drawing and a 50/50 “split the pot” drawing, according to the post.
The Friends of Stonelick State Park is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that works with park staff to fund recreational and educational programs at the park, according to the group’s website.
