CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio — The Clermont County Engineer’s Office counted 11 roads closed or under work restrictions this week as crews press ahead on bridge replacements, culvert repairs, drainage upgrades and utility projects across the county, according to the office’s weekly construction update posted to Facebook.
Bethel Concord Road remains the longest-running closure, shut down under an emergency order since April 11, 2025, with no reopening date announced, the engineer’s office said. A bridge replacement on Felicity Cedron Rural Road, underway since July 20, is scheduled to continue through Nov. 17, and a similar project on Spring Grove Road that began July 27 is expected to wrap up Nov. 13.
Dry Run Road in Miami Township has been closed since Sept. 24 for replacement of Bridge No. T233-1.33, with crews expected to finish by Nov. 14. On Branch Hill-Miamiville Road, a sanitary sewer installation managed by the Clermont County Water Resources Department is set to run through Nov. 30 after beginning Sept. 28.

Two closures that opened earlier this month are due to wrap up in the coming days. Edenton-Pleasant Plain Road in Wayne Township, closed since Oct. 5 for culvert replacements, is scheduled to reopen Tuesday. Amelia-Olive Branch Road in Batavia Township, closed since Oct. 7 for drainage improvements with crews working 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is expected to reopen Wednesday.
A new closure begins this week on Blue Sky Park Road, which shuts down Monday through Friday for maintenance on Bridge No. C15-1.66, the engineer’s office said. Johnson Road’s Bridge No. T148-1.02 repair also gets underway this week, running from Wednesday through Nov. 6 with crews on site from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Later this month, Taylor Road will close Oct. 19 through Oct. 23 for a sanitary sewer connection managed by the water resources department, and Twelvemile Road will close Oct. 26 through Oct. 31 for maintenance on Bridge No. C126-1.02.
Beyond the closures, the engineer’s office said crews are also working this week on guardrail repairs along Cook Road in Miami Township and drainage improvements on Bucktown Road in Jackson Township. A ditching crew is working on Franklin Laurel Road in Monroe Township in addition to the Amelia-Olive Branch Road project, and mowing crews are trimming roadsides in Williamsburg, Jackson and Tate townships.
The office, led by County Engineer Jeremy P. Evans, said all work remains contingent on weather. Residents with questions can reach the office at (513) 732-8857 or through ClermontEngineer.org, according to the agency.
