MILFORD, Ohio — Milford City Council will hold a public hearing Nov. 17 on the future and funding needs of the city’s 3-mill park levy renewal, inviting residents to weigh in before the measure moves forward.
The hearing is set for 7 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 745 Center Street, according to the city. Council scheduled the session so residents, business owners and other stakeholders can voice their opinions and provide input on local parks, recreation programs and related municipal funding, the city said in a post.

The city operates a dozen parks, including Five Points Landing Park, Jim Terrell Park, Garfield Park, Riverside Park, Carriage Way Park, Clertoma Park, Jonas Memorial Park, Memorial Park, SEM Villa Park, Riverwalk Park and the Milford Bike Trail, according to the city. Amenities across the system include playgrounds, rentable shelters, sports fields, a splash fountain and dog park at Five Points Landing, and a canoe and kayak launch at Jim Terrell Park.
A volunteer Parks and Recreation Commission helps identify improvements and plan resident activities, while the city’s Service Department handles maintenance and repairs, the city said. The park system’s current framework traces back to a 2001 parks and recreation master plan.
