LOVELAND, Ohio — City Council gave first reading Tuesday to an ordinance adopting a rewritten Planning and Zoning Code, advancing a rewrite of the city’s land-use law that has been in the works for nearly a year, following a public hearing on the proposed changes.

The rewrite covers Part 11 of the Loveland Codified Ordinances, the section of city law governing planning and zoning, and was recommended by the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission after eight meetings held between September 2025 and May 2026, according to the city.
