BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County commissioners will hold a public hearing on a proposed 104.7-acre annexation from Batavia Township to the Village of Batavia and consider a nearly $100,000 contract for a countywide transit study when they meet Oct. 21, according to a draft agenda posted by the Clermont County Board of Commissioners.
The board’s regular session begins at 10 a.m., with the annexation hearing set for 11 a.m. if needed. The agenda also calls for the board to accept permanent easements from two property owners, Timberidge Inc. and Thomas and Susan Smith, for the Dry Run Road bridge replacement project in Miami Township, with compensation of $2,500 and $400, respectively, the county said.
During the staff discussion portion of the meeting, Emily Akers, director of the county’s Office of Management and Budget, is scheduled to present the board with a decision on 9-1-1 fees. Facilities Management Director Ronnie Ross is expected to update commissioners on the Filager Phase 2 improvement project, and Animal Shelter Kennel Administrator Kiarah Swartz is scheduled to discuss upcoming shelter events.
