LOVELAND, Ohio — City Hall will trade its usual government business for ghosts and ghouls on Oct. 30, when it hosts the first Haunted House at Loveland City Hall, a fundraiser presented jointly by the City of Loveland and Tigers Inc., a student-led nonprofit based at Loveland High School.
The haunted house runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at City Hall, 120 W. Loveland Ave., the city said in a social media post. Tickets cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door, with presale tickets going on sale Oct. 15 through a link the city shared on Facebook. The event will include flashing lights, and the city recommended adult supervision for children under 11.
Tigers Inc., the event’s beneficiary, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by Loveland High School students who focus on business education through hands-on projects rather than traditional classroom instruction. The organization, headquartered at the high school, is split into three student-led cohorts — community outreach, marketing and wealth management — that work together while partnering with local business professionals, according to the nonprofit.
City Hall’s conversion into a haunted attraction is part of a broader slate of Halloween activity planned in Loveland for Oct. 30, which the city has promoted alongside downtown trick-or-treating and a pet costume contest and parade. City Hall, which normally houses City Council chambers and several city departments, is open to the public on weekdays under standard business hours, according to the city.
