CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio — An 18-year-old firefighter was killed Monday in a motorcycle crash involving two vehicles in Clermont County, prompting an outpouring of support from the community he served.4
Wyatt Fisher, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle as an off-duty firefighter, died from his injuries after the collision around 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 131 and Dry Run Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.4
Fisher was a member of the Stonelick Township Fire Department, which described his death as leaving an “immeasurable void” in the department and the broader community. He began his fire service as a cadet with Wayne Township Fire and Rescue, working alongside his brother and parents. Colleagues remembered him for his ambition, kindness and positive approach to challenges.4
Fisher was a recent graduate of Clermont Northeastern High School and was set to begin his first season as an assistant coach for the boys soccer team. Superintendent Travis Dorsey called him an “exemplary young man” whose passion for service and leadership would be deeply missed.4
“Wyatt was a proud graduate of Clermont Northeastern and had just stepped into a new role as the newest addition to our coaching staff,” Dorsey said in a statement. “His passion for service, his leadership, and his character made him an exemplary young man.”4
Fisher’s uncle, Andrew Mitchell, told Local 12 that his nephew will be remembered as a kind, caring and hardworking young man who was always willing to help others.4
Visitation is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Clermont Northeastern High School, with the funeral service set for 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, at the same location. A GoFundMe has been established to support Fisher’s family.4
