PIERCE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Road crews will rebuild and repave five residential streets in Pierce Township during the week of July 20, with the heaviest work concentrated Wednesday through Friday, the township said in a post outlining its 2026 paving schedule.
No paving is scheduled in the township Monday, July 20, or Tuesday, July 21, according to the township. Full-depth repairs are planned for Wednesday, July 22, on Grouse and Wood Duck. On Thursday, July 23, crews will shift to surface paving on Red Bud, Grouse, Wood Duck and E. Legendary. Surface paving on Twig is set for Friday, July 24.
Full-depth repairs and surface paving are different stages of the same job. Full-depth work removes and rebuilds a damaged section of the roadbed, while surface paving lays a fresh top layer of asphalt over the existing base. Several of the streets on the schedule are slated for both, with the base repairs completed before the new surface goes down.
The work covers streets in and around the Legendary Run community, a subdivision of more than 600 homes built around an Arthur Hills-designed championship golf course in the southwestern corner of the township.
Pierce Township’s service department maintains nearly 68 miles of roads across the 23.5-square-mile township, one of the largest in Clermont County by area, with a staff of 10 full-time and three part-time employees, according to the township. The township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees and an elected fiscal officer.
Township road resurfacing in the area is frequently coordinated with the Clermont County Engineer’s Office through an annual program funded by motor vehicle gas tax revenue pooled among several local governments.
Residents with questions about the schedule, which is subject to change with weather, can reach the township’s service department through Pierce Township.
