MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Branch Hill-Miamiville Road will close to through traffic for two months starting Sept. 28 while crews install a new sanitary sewer line, according to the Clermont County Engineer’s Office.
The closure runs along Branch Hill-Miamiville Road between the bridge over the Little Miami River and Tarkington Lane and is expected to last through Nov. 30, the engineer’s office said in a Facebook post. The Clermont County Water Resources Department and its contractor will use the closure to connect a sanitary sewer line along that stretch of road.
A posted detour will route through traffic around the closed section for the duration of the project, though local traffic will be maintained, the engineer’s office said. Officials are asking drivers to expect delays and use alternate routes while the work is underway.
Families in two school districts will feel the effects of the closure: Loveland Local Schools and Milford Exempted Village School District, both of which serve the Branch Hill area, according to the engineer’s office.
Branch Hill is an unincorporated community in Miami Township along the Little Miami River near Loveland. The county’s Water Resources Department maintains water and sewer service for nearly 44,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers across Clermont County. Jeremy Evans serves as Clermont County Engineer, whose office oversees county road and bridge construction, maintenance and right-of-way work alongside the surveying and mapping divisions.
