BATAVIA, Ohio — The Clermont County Park District will host its annual Open House with Friends at Pattison Lodge on Sept. 3, offering free live music, animal encounters and hands-on activities for families, the district said in a Facebook post.
The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at the lodge inside Pattison Park, 2228 U.S. 50. Admission is free and open to all ages, according to the district.

Live music will come from Ma Crow & Co., a Cincinnati-based bluegrass and mountain-music trio featuring vocalist and guitarist Ma Crow, fiddler Margie Drees and bassist Vicki Abbott. The group has released three albums and has been nominated three times for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award.
RAPTOR Inc., a Milford-based nonprofit that rehabilitates birds of prey, will bring animal ambassadors to the event. The organization treats roughly 400 hawks, owls, falcons, eagles and other raptors each year and runs more than 400 live education programs annually across the region.
The open house will also include games and a Touch a Truck display, along with a preview of the park district’s educational programs and volunteer opportunities. Guests can meet community partners on-site, and light refreshments will be provided, the district said.
Pattison Park is a 45-acre property donated to the county by Aletheia Pattison to serve as a public outdoor space. The park includes a pond with a paved walking path, an accessible fishing deck, wooded nature trails, a playground and a sensory garden. Pattison Lodge, the venue for the open house, seats up to 250 guests and is also used for weddings and other private events throughout the year.
The Clermont County Park District operates six parks, five nature preserves and the seven-mile Williamsburg to Batavia Hike Bike Trail, encompassing more than 1,000 acres of county land. Park programs are free and generally require no registration unless otherwise noted, according to the district.
