NEW RICHMOND, Ohio — A stretch of Clermontville-Laurel Road in Monroe Township will close to through traffic for five days beginning Sept. 14 while crews replace a culvert and repair storm damage, according to the Clermont County Engineer’s Office.

The closure will run from Sept. 14 through Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, on Clermontville-Laurel Road between the address 1446 and Spruce Hill Lane, the engineer’s office said in a Facebook post. A posted detour route will be in place for the duration of the work, and the road is expected to reopen to through traffic outside the daily work hours.

Crews plan to replace an existing culvert and install a new one, repair washouts along the ditch and berm, perform boom mowing and update a section of guardrail along the roadway, the office said. The engineer’s office urged motorists to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time while the work is underway.
