BATAVIA, Ohio — Two dogs who have spent far longer than most waiting inside the Clermont County Animal Shelter are the focus of a new appeal from the shelter, which is asking residents to consider adopting animals whose personalities, not their adoptability, have kept them from finding a home.

Kingston and Beau are among the shelter’s longer-term residents, according to a Facebook post from the county-run shelter. “These two boys represent the kinds of dogs who are often overlooked in shelters simply because their personalities require a little more understanding,” the shelter said in the post.
