NEW RICHMOND, Ohio — New Richmond High School and New Richmond Middle School will open their doors early for a back-to-school welcome event Aug. 18, giving families a chance to tour the buildings, meet teachers and coaches, and settle in before classes resume for the 2026-27 year.
The event runs from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the district’s main campus and will include live music, food trucks and games, according to the New Richmond Exempted Village School District.
Building tours and open-house style visits at both New Richmond High School and New Richmond Middle School run the full 4-7 p.m. window, the district said in a Facebook post announcing the event. A meet-and-greet with new administrators is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Room 311 at the middle school, running alongside a freshman parent meeting at the same time in the high school auditorium.
A meeting for parents of all student-athletes follows at 5 p.m., also in the high school auditorium. The evening closes with a meet-the-teams gathering at 7 p.m. at New Richmond High School Stadium.
New Richmond High School, located on Bethel-New Richmond Road, fields its teams as the Lions in red and black. The school enrolled 587 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to a U.S. News & World Report school profile.
