LOVELAND, Ohio — The Little Miami River Chamber Alliance will present a check to the City of Loveland on Oct. 29 in recognition of its donation toward a set of riverside swings at Nisbet Park, the city said in a Facebook post.
Mayor Kathy Bailey is scheduled to accept the check on the city’s behalf at 5 p.m. near the park’s river-view swings, which overlook the Little Miami River along the park’s walking-trail network, according to the post.
The swings have been funded through a mix of public and private support. The city received a $50,642 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ NatureWorks program toward the project’s estimated $67,650 cost, and City Council separately authorized an application to the Clermont County Parks District for a Community Parks Improvement grant to help pay for two high-quality swings, according to city records. The Chamber Alliance’s donation added to that funding mix, the city said.
The swings are part of a broader renovation of Nisbet Park, which has also included new walking-path construction intended to give visitors better views of the river from the trail.
The Little Miami River Chamber Alliance, formerly known as the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, was founded in 1969 and now represents roughly 300 member businesses across Loveland, Miami Township and Symmes Township, according to the organization.
Bailey was first elected to Loveland City Council in 2015 and has served as mayor since 2017, making this her fifth term in that role. She retired in 2024 after 34 years with the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, where she served as first assistant prosecuting attorney.
