FELICITY, Ohio — The Village of Felicity will hold trick-or-treat hours from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, village officials announced in a social media post.
Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, giving families the full evening to make the rounds without a school night to follow.
Felicity sits in Franklin Township in southeastern Clermont County, about 40 miles east of Cincinnati and 9 miles north of the Ohio River, according to the village government’s website. William Fee platted the original village lots on May 28, 1819, and it was named by his daughter Margaret, who chose Felicity to mean a place of peace and happiness. The Ohio legislature incorporated the village on March 14, 1836.
By the early 1900s, Felicity had grown into the second-largest village in Clermont County, with a population of more than 1,200 residents, according to the village’s website. The population has since declined to 651 residents as of the 2020 census, according to U.S. Census figures. The village was also an important stop on the Underground Railroad in Clermont County, with six documented sites tied to that history.
Felicity is governed by a mayor and a six-member village council, and the village provides its own police, water and street department services, according to the village government’s website.
