BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A family-owned industrial compressed air company has opened a new location in Batavia Township, relocating from neighboring Miami Township, the township said in a Facebook post.
Air Handling Equipment, Inc. now operates out of 4008 Borman Drive, according to the township. The move gives the company a larger facility in the same general area while keeping it close to its Cincinnati-area customer base.
Founded in 1977, Air Handling Equipment is a second-generation, family-owned business that has spent nearly five decades supplying compressed air systems, including compressors, air treatment equipment, chillers and nitrogen generators, to industrial customers across Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Kurt Barhorst serves as the company’s president, according to the company’s website and its listing with the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, of which the company has been a member since 1990.
The Batavia Township site is one of three the company operates in Ohio, alongside its headquarters in Sidney and a location in Gahanna that serves the Columbus area. The Batavia Township facility serves the greater Cincinnati region and Northern Kentucky, according to the company.
Township officials visited the new facility to present the company with a certificate of congratulations, according to photos shared by the township. The company offers round-the-clock emergency service, equipment rentals and energy audits in addition to compressor sales and repair, according to its website.
“Good luck to your team and continued success in Batavia Township,” the township said in its post welcoming the company.
