GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Goshen Township Police Department has graduated its 14th Citizens Police Academy class, giving another group of residents a closer look at how the department operates, the agency said in a Facebook post.
“Congratulations to the graduates of Citizens Police Academy Class 14,” the department said, adding that it appreciated the group’s “dedication to learning more about our community and the work of our police department.”

The academy is part of the department’s long-running effort to build ties between officers and the residents they serve, walking participants through the daily work of local law enforcement. Graduates can go on to join the Goshen Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, a group that supports the program and works to expand community understanding of law enforcement, crime prevention and public safety.
Goshen Township PD is a nationally accredited agency serving roughly 17,000 residents across 34 square miles of Clermont County. Bob Rose has led the department as chief of police since 2022; he also serves as the township’s administrator and public safety director. The department, headquartered at 6757 Goshen Road, describes its approach to policing as “Professional-Friendly Policing.”
