LOVELAND, Ohio — The State Route 48 bridge over O’Bannon Creek reopened to traffic Tuesday evening as contractors wrapped up the bulk of a rehabilitation project that had closed the span for more than a week, the city of Loveland said in a Facebook post citing the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Contractors were leaving the site by the end of the day Tuesday, but flaggers will continue directing traffic on the bridge as needed over the next two to three weeks while finishing work is completed, according to the post.

Remaining work includes installing guardrails, completing sidewalks and sealing the bridge deck, the city said.
