MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Business 28 will close to through traffic for two weeks starting Aug. 17 while a contractor completes sewer and water utility connections for a property along the road, according to the Clermont County Engineer’s Office.
The closure runs from Elm Street to Eastern Avenue, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Aug. 28, the engineer’s office said in a Facebook post. The work is tied to utility hookups for the property at 995 Business 28.
Drivers will need to follow posted detour signs around the closed stretch. The engineer’s office said the detour route spans about 4.89 miles, or roughly 25,797 feet. The Milford Exempted Village School District, which serves the area, has been notified of the closure, according to the post.
Business 28 is a commercial corridor running through Miami Township that parallels State Route 28, connecting retail and residential areas near Milford. The Clermont County Engineer’s Office, led by County Engineer Jeremy Evans, issues right-of-way permits for utility installations along county roads and oversees road construction and maintenance across the county’s townships.
The engineer’s office asked drivers to plan for delays and said more information is available through its office.
