BATAVIA, Ohio — The Clermont County Historical Society will host a free concert Saturday evening featuring violinist Dr. Andrii Isakov and pianist Li Wang at the Batavia Armory, the organization’s headquarters in downtown Batavia.
The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Armory, 65 N. Second St., and is free and open to the public, the historical society said in a Facebook post.

Isakov, a Ukrainian violinist, joined the Ohio State University School of Music violin faculty in 2024, according to the university. He has appeared as a soloist with the National Ukrainian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lviv Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles, and has performed recitals in the United States, China, Italy, Poland, Croatia and Ukraine, the university said. He also teaches at the Cremona International Music Academy and Festival and the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and is a founder and artistic director of the Fiorito International Music Festival and Competition.
Wang holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and an Artist Diploma in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied under James Tocco, according to the Cremona International Music Academy and Festival, where she also teaches. She earned a master’s degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and made her orchestral debut in 2012 as soloist in the “Yellow River” Piano Concerto with the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater Symphony Orchestra, according to her artist biography. She has performed across the United States, China and Europe and lives in Columbus. The historical society’s event announcement described Wang as Isakov’s wife.
The historical society, whose mission is “to preserve, protect and promote the historical heritage of Clermont County, Ohio for the betterment, enlightenment and well-being of its citizens,” according to its website, recently relocated its headquarters to the Armory building. The society has preserved county records, photographs and artifacts since 1958.
