MILFORD, Ohio — The Kiwanis Club of Milford and Little Miami Brewing Company will host a daylong Oktoberfest celebration Saturday, spreading German-style food, beer and live music across two spots in the city’s historic downtown.
Little Miami Brewing Company, at 208 Mill St., will run its portion of the festival from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., according to the brewery’s own event listing. The lineup includes live music from Fully Furnished from noon to 2 p.m., Eastside Roots from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and Zinzinnati Bierband from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
The Kiwanis Club of Milford will host a companion event, called Das Kiwanisfest, at Five Points Landing Park from 4 to 10 p.m., according to the city of Milford’s calendar of events. The club said in a Facebook post that its portion of the celebration will include a Kids Zone with games and face painting, an adult stein slide game, a steinholding competition and a chicken dance at 6 p.m.
The Kiwanis Club of Milford is a local chapter of Kiwanis International, a global service organization founded in 1915 whose stated mission is “serving the children of the world” through community service projects, according to the organization. Kiwanis clubs worldwide sponsor tens of thousands of service projects each year benefiting children and families.
Organizers said the festival is open to the public at both locations, with admission to Five Points Landing Park supporting the Kiwanis Club’s local programs.
