BATAVIA, Ohio — Batavia Police Officer Ricky McAdams has received an Appreciation Award recognizing his work as the school resource officer at Batavia Middle School over the past year, the Batavia Police Department said.
“Thank you, SRO McAdams. We are honored to have you,” the department said in a Facebook post announcing the recognition.
The Batavia Police Department, which serves the village of Batavia in Clermont County, lists school resource officer assignments among its core services, alongside round-the-clock patrol coverage, traffic safety initiatives and community outreach programs, according to the department’s website. The department describes its officers as maintaining a familiar, locally based presence meant to provide personalized service to residents.
Batavia Middle School, home of the Bulldogs, is part of the Batavia Local School District and sits at 2 Bulldog Place in the village.
