WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio — Jackson Township has a new trustee. Shane Garr was sworn in Tuesday to fill the remainder of a vacant term on the township’s three-member Board of Trustees, the township said in a Facebook post.

Garr, who has lived in Jackson Township for more than 25 years, spent 38 years working for the Clermont County Engineer’s Office before joining the board, according to the township. The county engineer’s office, headquartered in Batavia, is responsible for maintaining roads and bridges, snow and ice removal, drainage and culvert work, and surveying services across Clermont County.
